These self portraits are based around the feeling of putting so much effort into relationships (romantically and friendships) but getting little to nothing in return. I tend to feel looking like a clown because of those actions.

After these heartbreaks I have to put myself back together in order to keep moving forward. For those who don’t know what the gold charms are, they are called Milagritos (little miracles) and are used in the catholic religion in order to ask or gives thanks for the miracle that has been asked for. In this case, I’m using them to ask for the miracle that someone lovely will come into my life.
